The Parash Cafe and Bakeshop was opened in 1961 by the head of the Parash family, Mordechai. Mordechai married Ora, who was one of his customers, and later handed the reigns over to his son, Mati, who studied secrets of baking. The place has grown larger and over the years has become a neighborhood bistro, run by Mati.
Parash is different in character than any other place. It is reminisicant of a European café (in the style of Barcelona, Vienna and Paris) and offers special baked goods – the very ones that made Parash one of Israel’s top 10 pastry shops.
Parash is run by three generations of the Parash family, who also do all the baking and cooking. Amongst the fresh products sold in the café, you can find pastries from yeast dough and puff pastry, loaf cakes, strudels, eclairs, mousses, tarts, gluten and/or sugar free cakes, quiches, bourekas from authentic Greek phyllo pastry and more. The dessert selection is varied and each product is amazing, with its own flavour and look.
In addition to selling sweet and savoury treats, Parash is also a dairy café, located in the center of Kiriat Yovel. The café offers breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, pastas, and a rich and varied dairy menu. The baked goods offered are of top quality, with much emphasis placed on aesthetics. The café is sparkling clean and decorated in a European style by house architect Ilana. The space is outfitted with sofas, leather chairs and wood chairs. Photographs of generations of the Parash family hang all along the walls and the tranquil serenity in the in the café is apparent above all.
Events for up to 40 people can be held in the space.
The café is Mehadrin kosher.
